Intensive workshop · 2 days · Geneva · English edition
Two days to make your preparation your own: the twelve steps of the Chubbuck Technique, worked on the floor, on a scene assigned to you.
Early rate CHF 300 until 1 November included · CHF 350 after
and many more.
Today, most of your preparation happens alone. A phone on a tripod, no director, no one to help you make the strongest choices.
So you could take a scene in any direction. What most actors are missing is the preparation itself: a process you can apply to any scene, one that sets you apart from the other candidates. Being invited for a self-tape or an audition is already a win. So how do you make the choices that turn it into a booking?
The programme
You arrive with a scene and an assigned partner, and you work on the floor, putting into practice a technique that will change the way you work and help you book roles.
The first six steps — the architecture that gives a scene its direction and makes your performance personal and accessible.
The remaining six steps, then an afternoon given to full runs of every scene, with all twelve steps in play.
More and more Swiss actors audition in English. Productions are going international. Worked in the language you are actually auditioning in, the technique gets sharper.
The intensive runs in two editions. This one is taught entirely in English, on 28 and 29 November. Prefer to work in French? Join the French edition on 21 and 22 November.
A scene taken through all twelve steps, rehearsed with your partner and performed in full on the floor.
A repeatable process you can apply on your own, before a self-tape or a shoot.
Precise feedback on your work, given throughout the two days, run after run.
A private conversation about your work and where to take it next.
Actors with training or professional experience who want a structured, repeatable way to prepare, for self-tapes, auditions and set.
No prior knowledge of the Chubbuck Technique is needed. Seats are by application, so the room is made up of people at a similar level of commitment.

His credits include Emily in Paris, The Old Guard 2, The Great, Engrenages and Valerian. After starting out at Cours Florent, he worked for ten years with Jack Waltzer of the Actors Studio. He is certified by Ivana Chubbuck, with whom he continues to study. He founded Arthouse Acting Studio in Geneva to bring that training to actors working here.
